A beautiful double rainbow, nice storm light and clouds featuring a little mountain stream and this green valley near Flesspass in Switzerland.   For those of you interested in some additional information behind the photo... we had not planned to end up there on the Flesspass surrounded by thunderstorms with only one hour until sunset on 2300m. What you are looking at is the Pale di San Martino group with some mountain lakes in the foreground near Baita Segantini (2200m) at night. I've spend half the night there shooting and looking at stars in this cloudless night. Except one lonely fox I was there on my own with the mountains, stars - and mosquitos. Continue reading →

Baita Segantini (2200m) and the Pale di San Martino group reflected in a lake at sunset near San Martino di Castrozza. I hiked up there from 1400m on four out of eight evenings I have spent in the Dolomites, Italy. Three of them completely cloudless but on the fourth hike and my last day of the whole trip I finally got my chance. Continue reading →
