The elvish word Eriador describes the shire, a land between the misty mountains and the blue mountain range in middle earth. This is what it felt like for me standing at this point and enjoying this breathtaking view during a spectacular sunset between massive thunderstorms rolling over the rugged mountains at Passo Giau, Italy.
